Exterior general caution
It is very important to follow the label directions when using any chemical cleaner or polish. Read all warning and caution statements that appear on the label.
High-pressure washing
1. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, gently pry the lens from the interior lamp housing. 2. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out. WARNING Prior to working on the Interior Lights, ensure that the “OFF” button is depressed to avoid burning your fingers or receiving an electric shock.
Washing To help protect your vehicle’s finish from rust and deterioration, wash it thoroughly and frequently at least once a month with lukewarm or cold water.
Repair procedures Oil Specification1.The HFC-134a system requires synthetic (PAG) compressor oil whereas the R-12 system requires mineral compressor oil. The two oils must never be mixed.2.Compressor (PAG) oil varies according to compressor model. Be sure to use oil specified for the model of compressor.
Repair procedures Replacement1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2.Remove the heater and blower assembly.(Refer to Heater - "Heater Unit") 3.Remove the heater core cover (A) after loosening the mounting screws.4.Pull out the evaporator core (A) from the heater unit.
