Hyundai Elantra: Immobilizer System / Antenna Coil
Repair procedures
1. | Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
2. | Remove the crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") |
3. | Remove the steering column shroud panel. (Refer to Body - "Steering Column Shroud Panel") |
4. | Disconnect the immobilizer connector (A) and press the locking pin (B) using an awl. |
5. | Loosen the mounting screws and remove the antenna coil.

1. | Install the antenna coil. |
2. | Connect the antenna coil connector. |
3. | Install the crash pad lower panel. |
4. | Connect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
Other information:
Parking brake automatically engaged
When the EPB is applied from Auto Hold,
a warning will sound and a message will
appear.
AUTO HOLD turning Off!
Press brake pedal
When the conversion from Auto Hold to
EPB is not working properly a warning
will sound and a message will appear.
When this message is displayed, the Auto
Hold and EPB may not operate. For your
safety, depress the brake pedal...
