Hyundai Elantra: Warning and Indicator Lights / Charging System Warning

When this warning light illuminates while
the engine is running, the battery is not
being charged. Immediately turn OFF
all electrical accessories. Try not to use
electrically operated controls, such as
the power windows. Keep the engine
running.
Have the vehicle inspected by an
authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as
possible.
This warning light illuminates:
When you place the ignition switch to
the ON position.
-- The malfunction indicator light
illuminates for about 3 seconds and
then goes off...
This warning light illuminates:
When the engine oil pressure is low.
If the engine oil pressure is low:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe
location and stop your vehicle...
Other information:
The high-pressure cooling system has a
reservoir filled with year-round antifreeze
coolant. The reservoir is filled at the
factory.
Check the antifreeze protection and
coolant level at least once a year, at
the beginning of the winter season and
before traveling to a colder climate...
Setting
Forward Safety
With the engine on, select or deselect
‘Driver Assistance → Forward Safety’ from
the Settings menu to set whether or not
to use each function.
-- If ‘Active Assist’ is selected, the
function will warn the driver with
a warning message and an audible
warning depending on the collision
risk levels...
